Featuring over fifty handcrafted paper-folding puzzles, A Fold Apart is the story of a couple tackling the emotional rollercoaster of a long-distance relationship that (mis)communication by text message can bring.
I worked as a programmer on A Fold Apart joining the team in the middle of production and stayed on for post-release. I worked on mostly debugging, but also implemented several new mechanics. Notably I designed and built the puzzle hint system, designed and built large parts of the touch controls including the player navigation system, implemented new gameplay mechanics for DLC, and extended the save system for post-release content. I also gained experience unit testing and working with iOS devices including working with iCloud and on-device debugging.
